We are a local team of craftsmen dedicated to creating spaces that our customers will enjoy for years to come.
Cody Grimes
Co-Owner
Cody grew up in Mechanicsburg area and always loved creating things with his hands.
After finishing high school, Cody attended Penn Tech College where he was part of the Architectural Millwork program.
After graduating, he still desired to learn more. So he traveled to Maine and attended the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship where he was part of a 9-month comprehensive program studying fine furniture making.
When he returned home, he continued his training under a master carpenter, spent a year in a commercial cabinet shop, and an additional 3 years in the fabrication and engineering of commercial cabinetry.
In 2009 Cody decided to start his own company initially known as MC Designs.
Cody loves all the aspects of his job, but especially listening to a customer’s dream and making it come to life. He enjoys kitchen and bath remodels the most because they offer all parts of the trades for a short period of time. He says, “They also have the most detail of any room in a house and unlimited design ideas. No two spaces or designs are the same which makes them all fun and unique to do.”
Cody currently lives in Dauphin and says his dream house remodel would include using multiple materials and finishes to create a unique environment in any room of his house. He also added he would definitely need to have a coffee bar!
In his spare time, you’ll find him continuing to work with his hands-on indoor and outdoor projects. He loves seeing progress in all aspects of what he’s working on.
Greg Kimmel
Co-Owner
Greg is a Mechanicsburg native with a passion for cars and carpentry. After realizing his interest in the trades, Greg focused on taking electrician and carpentry coursework.
Upon graduation, Greg worked in the roofing industry. Choosing to focus his carpentry skills on interior remodeling, he sought out opportunities to work under master carpenters, plumbers, and electricians. In addition, he served as a contractor for Anderson Windows & Doors.
Having gained experience in a wide variety of related building trades, Greg chose to start his own remodeling business.
In 2013, Greg became Cody Grimes’ business partner and helped change MC Designs into ReMod Squad.
While Greg loves the challenge that each unique remodel brings, his favorite remodels are kitchens. He truly enjoys the craftsmanship opportunities kitchens present. And, because kitchens often require a variety of carpentry, electrical, and plumbing, he gets to touch on all his building passions.
Greg currently lives in Boiling Springs with his family. When he’s not remodeling homes, you’ll find him outdoors in the wild.
Ken Quaid
Master Electrician
Ken Quaid has been a master electrician for over 20 years. He has worked all through the central and eastern United States, getting to experience much of the country but will always call the Harrisburg area ‘home’.
He started with ReMod Squad in 2020 and is very happy with the role he’s been able to play within the company.
He’s known as the “old man” of the bunch but considers this group of young men some of the best he’s worked with as they care about their craft as much as he does.
Ken resides in Dauphin, Pennsylvania, and loves spending time on his 16-acre spread, walking his big dogs in the woods.
He is married to a fine woman from Lithuania and absolutely adores her.
Ken encourages others to work with ReMod Squad as he believes, “we are both fair and will give you a quality renovation.”
Matt Hockensmith
Foreman
Matt graduated from Big Spring High School and went on to HACC to obtain a degree in HVAC.
With 26+ years under his work belt, he joined the Squad in July of 2021.
He says the best part of working with ReMod Squad is the teamwork mentality between his co-workers.
Matt’s dream remodel would include creating an outdoor kitchen and patio area that would be great for entertaining.
When not at work, he enjoys working in his garden, going hunting and fishing, and spending time out at camp in Raystown with his wife and two dogs.
Phil Smerling
Master Specialist
After graduation, he explored his interest in graphic design at California University of Pennsylvania but ultimately found his passion for cooking. He was the head chef at Bethany Village and the Boiling Springs Tavern for approximately 10 years before deciding to change his career path and joining Cody and Greg in home remodeling.
Since joining ReMod Squad, Philip has expanded his knowledge and held different positions within the company from a laborer to lead foreman to his current position as the Material Specialist.
Philip currently still resides in the Mechanicsburg area with his wife and 3 children.
In his spare time, you can find him fishing or working on his own house remodel.
Tyler Lebo
Sales Manager
With all of his experience, he has been a welcome addition to the squad. While on the job, Tyler says he most enjoys tiling jobs and finishing trim work. These jobs come close to the end of a remodel, which gets Tyler excited about revealing the final product and ultimately returning the freshly updated space back to the homeowner. Tyler also believes that the best part of working for ReMod Squad is, “Working alongside your friends all day and still being able to maintain a healthy relationship outside of work.”
Tyler is a social guy and loves to spend time with friends and family. His dream remodel project would be to build a huge deck and paver patio that would allow him to entertain. When he’s not working, he loves hunting, fishing, and family life.
Justin Means
Superintendent
Justin’s favorite aspect of working for ReMod Squad is the genuine family atmosphere created by the employees and management staff here. He loves the amazing customer-first team we have carefully curated here at the Squad.
Justin’s favorite projects to take on are framing, such as new rooms, decks, and additions. As well as finish trim work.
When Justin is not working he enjoys time with his wife and children and hitting the water fishing for anything that might bite.
Justin’s dream project currently would be an outdoor kitchen area complete with cooktop, smoker, grill, and perhaps even a full bar.
Jayson Elhajj
Delivery Manager / Social Media Manager
Jayson has been with ReMod Squad since 2017. He has 10 years in the construction trade.
Jayson enjoys working on kitchens the most. Kitchens are where all the food is made and all the best conversations are had.
Jayson says the best part of joining ReMod Squad has been “being part of the family that everyone here has created.”
If Jayson’s dream remodel project could come to life, it would be restoring an old farmhouse. Every aspect from the complete gut to finish.
Jayson’s first love is art. He’s an artist who mostly enjoys creating graphite portraits. Ultimately though, he loves creating all kinds of art.
Patricia Holjes
Designer
Her own personal design style can be described as eclectic and Brizo products have been fun for her to work with.
It’s no wonder that when she isn’t bringing designs to reality she is enjoying her time reading, cooking, or in the garden.
Nick Bixler
Service Technician
Nick grew up in the area and attended Central Dauphin East High School. After high school and for the past 5 years, Nick worked for a flooring company. Then in 2018, he joined us at ReMod Squad and has been a welcome addition.
Nick says that his favorite remodeling job is completing a bathroom. He enjoys completing tile showers and likes watching the project come together. He says the best part of working at ReMod Squad is, “working with such a great crew which makes the work enjoyable.”
If Nick could complete his dream remodel project it would be a nice kitchen. He’d like to have concrete countertops as well as a backsplash that gives a nice contrast.
Allen Jacobs
Foreman
Allen grew up in the area and attended Susquenita High School in 2016. While attending high school Allen also went to Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School. While going to VoTec, he studied Automotive Technology for 3 years. Upon completing, he received his Inspection and Emissions license.
Allen has worked for a local drywall company and a home builder hanging drywall and framing ceilings for modular homes. He is most fond of any sorts of the tiling process. He truly excels in hanging drywall. He loves working for Remod Squad because “It’s a great and very happy environment”.
His dream remodel project on his own home would be finishing the basement into a man cave with a gigantic master bathroom. Outside of working with Remod Squad, you can find Allen tinkering with his trucks, cars, and 4-wheelers. You may even find him fishing or out in the mud driving his mud truck.
Josh means
Foreman
Josh is one of our Foreman and has been with ReMod Squad since 2022.
Josh’s favorite aspect of working for ReMod Squad is the close-knit family atmosphere that all of us create! He looks forward to every deck or porch project that we take on. He also enjoys tile work, from a shower to a full kitchen backsplash, and we think he’s pretty good at it!
Josh spends his free time and vacations traveling the States in search of adventure in his custom camper van. He has been to many state parks and interesting places along the way, ask him about it sometime!
Wil Boyer
Foreman
Wil grew up in Marysville and is a graduate of Susquenita High School. Upon finishing school, he joined the Army and served for 6 years as a combat engineer and EO. He was stationed in Fort Benning, GA and completed deployments to Iraq.
After leaving the service, he worked 3 years with Deblin Inc working on heavy highway construction. He then was employed with Tricon installing acoustic ceilings.
Wil joined ReMod Squad in December of 2020.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their 3 dogs.
Wil’s dream remodel would be to fix up his childhood home that sits along the river in Marysville.
Jennifer Kimmel
Designer
She has more than 22 years of experience in her field. She loves to find the right balance of color and patterns to help her clients fulfill their dream space. She stated it’s different for everyone, a comfort for one could be a trigger for another. She enjoys deciphering that puzzle each time.
In her off time she loves to read, paint, draw, and most of all, spend time with her two kids, especially during soccer!
She would love to have a pool surrounded with a big outdoor entertainment area equipped with a full kitchen!
Tammy Grimes
Administrator Assistant
Tammy is our Administrator Assistant and started with ReMod Squad in 2023.
She has 25 years of experience in teaching math!
Her favorite aspect of ReMod Squad is the great working environment with positive, productive people, and seeing the unique creative designs and projects.
Outside of work she enjoys traveling, walking, hiking, and reading.
Her dream addition to her home would be a built-in fireplace for those cold snowy winter days.
Chad everts
Foreman
Chad is one of our Foreman, he started with ReMod Squad in 2022. He has 25 years of experience in the trades.
His favorite thing about ReMod Squad is the creativity and satisfaction involved in remodeling each and every customer’s unique project. He doesn’t have a specific favorite trade but enjoys the entire process from demo to rebuild until the end of the project.
Chad enjoys listening to music, sports, and anything outside including fishing, camping, and much more. His dream remodel is currently in the works building a second recording studio!
Seth Bomgardner
Foreman
Seth is one of our Foreman, and has been with ReMod Squad since early 2024. Seths favorite aspect of working for ReMod Squad is the ability to help our customers upgrade their homes to exactly the way they want it! I guess you could say Seth enjoys all aspects of the job, but mostly he loves to see a project go from start to finish, and getting that rewarding feeling of a job well done.
Seth spends his free time hunting, fishing, BBQing, attending auto-races and truck shows as well as riding ATV’s!
His dream project would be to build his home, in the middle of nowhere just outside a lake, with plenty of land to hunt, fish, and ride across.
Sounds like paradise!
Mike Murray
Tradesman
Mike is one of our tradesman, and has been with ReMod Squad since 2023! He has about a year of experience in the trades. Mikes favorite aspect of working for ReMod Squad is his co-workers. He says they’re ALL super helpful in the training processes, and just great to be around. Mikes favorite process to be around and take part in, is a bathroom remodel, which is great because we do a lot of those! He likes seeing the project from start to finish. Outside of work Mike enjoys sprint car racing, loves Motocross, and you can catch him hiking from time to time. Mike does have a dream project of building his own house someday! We can’t wait to see it!
Ian Anderson
Foreman
Ian is one of our Foreman, and has been with ReMod Squad since 2025. He has more than 10 years in the construction trades. His favorite thing about working for ReMod Squad, is the close nit group of employees that make the work environment fun to be around. His favorite process is finishing the jobs, seeing the project get wrapped up and seeing the homeowners happy faces when it’s done. Outside of work you can find him camping, hunting, fishing, pretty much anything and everything outdoors with his best buddy, a Golden Retriever named Kinzer! If Ian was given a dream project for his own home it would be to build and own a modular home on its own land some day!
Lucas Hoy
Apprentice
Lucas is one of our apprentices, currently working directly under our master electrician and learning all aspects of the job processes. He has been with ReMod Squad since late 2024, and has about a year of experience so far. His favorite thing about working for ReMod Squad is, being able to take part in so many different projects and processes learning the ins and outs of the trades, and watching them come to completion. His favorite project he’s worked on so far has to be the private gym that he played a big roll in renovating. Outside of work you’ll find him swinging the wrench more then the hammer, fixing up and driving his old vehicles. His dream project for the future would definitely be, one and I quote, “Big O’l Garage”.
Jordan Clemens
Foreman
Jordan is one of our Foreman, and he’s been with ReMod Squad since 2024. He has more than 10 years in the construction trades! His favorite thing about working for ReMod Squad is right along side our own goals. To bring customers visions to life! His favorite process to be apart of has to be big siding remodels. Maybe it’s the complete transformation it gives the house, or maybe it is the fact he gets to work outside.
When he isn’t working you can find Jordan spending time with his wife and two kids, teaching their young minds how to hunt, fish, and experiencing plenty of other important core memories with them! His dream project would be to build a big stand alone garage and workshop combo.
Ben Myers
Foreman
Ben is one of our Foremen and has been part of the ReMod Squad team since early January of 2026. He’s been working on houses alongside his family since he was a kid, so construction has been part of his life for as long as he can remember.
One of Ben’s favorite things about working at ReMod Squad is the strong team cohesion. He enjoys being part of a crew that keeps a good attitude and pushes through whatever challenges come their way to get the job done right.
Ben especially enjoys intricate trim work, where attention to detail really matters. Luckily for him, many of our kitchen and bathroom remodels require exactly that kind of craftsmanship.
When he’s not on the job site, you might find Ben traveling, hiking, or diving into historical research. His dream project? Fully restoring a Queen Anne Victorian home — a beautiful challenge and the kind of project that would truly bring history back to life.
Azin Al-ameri
Tradesman
Azin is one of our Tradesman, and he’s been with ReMod Squad since December of 2025. He has more than 7 years in the construction trades! His favorite thing about working for ReMod is feeling like he is working with family. “They are truly my favorite family-from the oldest to the youngest-because I found that they treat me like a brother before anything else, not just as a coworker. I also love being able to do the work I genuinely enjoy and feel passionate about every day.” His favorite process to be apart of are painting, drywall, tile installs and flooring projects!
When he isn’t working you can find Azin playing 8-Ball or on the soccer pitch. He loves both but soccer the most of corse! His dream project would be to personally build A home for him and his family and do most of the work himself from start to finish. Im sure his ReMod family will give him a hand as well!
Nate Clouse
Tradesman
Nate is one of our Tradesman, and has been part of the ReMod Squad team since June of 2025. With about a year in the construction trades, he actually began his journey right here with us and has been learning fast ever since.
One of Nate’s favorite things about working at ReMod Squad is the variety. Because we offer so many different trades and services, no two days are the same, and he enjoys getting the chance to learn every part of the home along the way.
His favorite projects to be part of are additions and kitchen remodels, where he gets to see a space completely transform from start to finish.
When he’s not on the job site, there’s a good chance you’ll find Nate knee-deep in a creek or standing on a river bank with a fishing rod in hand, enjoying some time outdoors.
